The Collier Group in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Duke University is seeking postdoctoral scholars to conduct research in Immune Engineering, focusing on the development of immunotherapies for infectious and inflammatory disease based on molecular assemblies of peptides, proteins, and other biomolecules. Our group is highly interdisciplinary and collaborates across Duke University and beyond, including with basic science and clinical collaborators. A PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Immunology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field is necessary. Preference will be given to applicants with strong track records in creativity and productivity, with expertise in Immune Engineering, including immunological techniques, nanomaterial characterization, protein and peptide chemistry, and animal models of disease that complement current research in the group. Candidates should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. Recent postdoctoral and doctoral alumni from our group have moved on to highly competitive positions as independent investigators in academia, within industry, and as entrepreneurs.
