A post-doctoral research position is available in Dr. Gustavo Silva’s laboratory at Duke University (https://sites.duke.edu/silvalab ). The prospective candidate will work on our exciting research projects focused on understanding the role of protein ubiquitination and translation control in promoting cellular resistance to environmental stresses. The lab uses a combination of cellular, molecular, and large scale approaches, including mass spectrometry-based proteomics and next generation sequencing, to elucidate stress response pathways in yeast and mammalian cells.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with strong expertise in cellular and molecular biology, and in protein biochemistry to fulfill this position. Additional experience in proteomics, genomics, and/or computational biology will be favored and is desirable, but not a requirement.
