Job Purpose

We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows who are interested in developing and applying novel molecular technologies to study cancer stem cells in tumors.

Job Duties
  • Investigate cellular properties of stem cells in development and tumorigenesis.
  • Develop and use novel and advanced biological approaches, and genetically-engineered mouse models to uncover genetic and epigenetic alterations in cancer initiating cells in order to understand mechanisms underlying tumor initiation, progression, and metastasis.
  • Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
  • Evaluate and analyze data.
  • Establish new research protocols and procedures.
  • Summarize research findings and publish results in research journals.
  • May be responsible for laboratory operations.
  • May supervise research staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Ph.D in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.

Experience: None required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. or M.D. degree and experience in stem cell biology and molecular/cellular biology.

Significant experience with mammalian tissue culture, molecular biology and genomics techniques (cloning, RNA-seq, ChIP, Bioinformatics.). Previous work with mouse models of human diseases, cancer biology, cellular/molecular biology and/or mouse embryology is preferred.
