Description

Immediate position available at the level of Postdoctoral Associate to study disease biomarkers in rodent models of Rett syndrome and test potential therapeutic interventions in genetic rodent models of neurodevelopmental disorders. This position will prepare and conduct laboratory research experiments, maintain a mouse colony, and perform additional duties related to the ongoing research efforts of the laboratory. In addition, the Postdoctoral Associate will assist other researchers and personnel as assigned, and collect, analyze and appropriately document experimental results. This position will participate in research grant preparation, manuscript writing and presentation of research results at professional conferences. 

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a proven record of research accomplishments, have expertise in working with mice, a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology and excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills are required, and the candidate must work effectively in a team environment. 

Required: PhD in basic sciences or equivalent
