The focus of Dr. Wang’s laboratory is to develop cancer immunotherapy, in particular CAR-T and TCR-T cell therapy and elucidate the mechanisms that are responsible for T cell persistence and trafficking, and for immune resistance.
Dr. Wang’s laboratory has discovered many immune targets, and used them for developing for vaccines, CAR-T and TCR-T cell immunotherapy.
The ideal research associate and/or research scientist candidate should have experience in molecular biology, cell culture, T cell viral transduction and expansion, T cell biology, and neoantigen discovery. These positions will continue to establish T cell lines and clones from cancer tissues, T cell culture and expansion, T cell receptor (TCR) profiling and TCR functional validation, as well as work in GMP facility for developing clinical grade T cell products (CAR-T and TCR-T) for cancer immunotherapy.
The candidate should possess excellent communication and writing skills.
Prospective candidates should be highly motivated, enthusiastic about science, with an ability to think creatively and independently. Candidate should demonstrate good organizational skills and be able to work independently and in a team environment. Candidates with T cell biology are strongly encouraged to apply.
