Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate will be expected to:

  • work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with members from multiple institutions to accomplish defined research goals.
  • design and independently conduct laboratory experiments on characterization and performance evaluation of cement-based materials.
  • design and conduct field investigation for monitoring in-service concrete performance.
  • prepare technical documentation, like Tech Note, journal/conference articles, reports, presentations etc.
  • perform other duties as assigned.


Required Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in Civil Engineering or related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience publishing high-quality research articles, peer reviewed conference proceedings, and technical reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing both experimental laboratory and field-based research.
  • Experience working with multiscale material characterization techniques (such as isothermal calorimetry, XRD/QXRD, SEM, TGA, image analysis etc.,).
  • Experience with cement paste/mortar/concrete formulations, casting, characterization, performance investigation, data analysis, and technical documentation.
