Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Kumar lab focuses on malaria parasite sexual stage biology and parasite transmission to the mosquito vector. Malaria is a global burden with thousands of deaths annually. The postdoctoral fellows will study the cellular and molecular signaling pathways leading to differentiation of asexually replicating parasites into gametocytes, gametogenesis, and gamete fertility. These studies will utilize human-infective malaria parasites including parasite field isolates.  


Required Minimum Qualifications:

 PhD
 


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting research in molecular parasitology, reproductive biology, molecular biology, chromatin biology, signaling and biochemistry and microscopy skills.
  • Experience in protocol and manuscript development and in grant writing.
