Postdoc: Magnetic insulator thin films

Updated: 3 months ago
Location: Fort Collins, COLORADO

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in Professor Mingzhong Wu’s group at Department of Physics, Colorado State University. The Wu group is interested in many topics in magnetism and spintronics.

The current research areas (https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=vmsVdB4AAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate) include magnetic insulators, topological quantum materials, ferromagnetic resonance, spin waves, spin pumping, and spin-orbit torques. The new postdoctoral position will involve, in particular, the growth of magnetic insulator thin films, via pulsed laser deposition and magnetron sputtering, and ferromagnetic resonance in and high-frequency applications of the films.

The starting date of the position will be about February, 2022.

Interested candidates can email Professor Mingzhong Wu at mwu@colostate.edu.
