Position Summary
The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Indiana University invites applicants for a post‐doctoral research position under the supervision of Dr. Douglas Edmonds. The successful candidate will contribute to recently funded NSF grants focused on using drone-based lidar, field monitoring, and numerical modeling to understand sediment transport dynamics in floodplains and/or the development of oxbow lakes in meandering rivers. The postdoc will have flexibility to define their project.
A Ph.D. by time of appointment in geology (or earth science equivalent), geography, engineering or related field is required prior to start date.
The position is for one year, with the opportunity of renewal depending on progress and funding availability.
