We have an opening for Post-Master's Fellowship/Visiting Instructor at our Chattanooga State campus!

The role will be responsible for the following:
Develop courses, lessons, exercises and examinations *Order, organize, and maintain all supplies and equipment needed for classroom instruction *Conduct classroom training sessions and lab type practical instruction using modern instructional techniques *Maintain records of attendance, test grades, lab performance *Evaluate class and individual programs *Serve on Departmental and/or Divisional committees *Tutor in the College Writing Center
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a graduate major concentration in English (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with terminal degrees are welcome to apply, but preference will be given to those with no more than an M.A.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The successful applicant will possess evidence of innovative composition instruction, will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the field of composition and rhetoric, and will provide strong recommendations from his or her appropriate supervisors within his/her graduate program.
