Requirements

Under the direction and guidance of the Director of National Security Law (DNSL) and the Senior Legal and Policy Associate, the Fellow will have two main roles:

(1) Provide support to student programs, student organizations, and events, and assist with Georgetown National Security Law Education (NSLE) programs;

(2) Provide support to the Center’s Innovation Incubator projects, including human security, victim-centered justice, and technology.  Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, those listed under the “Responsibilities” section below.

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

The Fellow reports directly to the DNSL for support to National Security Law programs and to the Senior Legal & Policy Associate for support to Incubator projects. The Fellow will have interaction with students, faculty and support offices on the Law Center’s campus, in addition to external partners and stakeholders.

This position has been designated as Hybrid 2 Day. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.  Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Requirements and Qualifications

  • This position requires basic knowledge of, and experience in, National Security Law. This requirement can be met with either a J.D. and 1-3 years of National Security experience or an LL.M. in National Security Law.
  • Excellent organization, writing, and editing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to conduct substantive research required.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Excel, PowerPoint, database management, and social media strategies required.
