Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, and Pharmacy
Administration – Health Outcomes, Policy & Economics, Rutgers University is
part of Rutgers Biomedical Health Sciences (RBHS) and participates in
interdisciplinary professional education and training partnership with
Rutgers School of Public Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical
School.
The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy
Administration – Health Outcomes, Policy & Economics, Rutgers University
Fellowship Program offers a significant opportunity to individuals interested
in real-world evidence data analytics and the broader field of health
economics & outcomes research (HE&OR). The Fellowship program provides
robust learning experiences related to the science and application of health
economics and outcomes research:
  • Health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) methods
  • Protocol development
  • IRB processes
  • Research contracting
  • Study management
  • Data collection and data management
  • Analysis of large and small datasets
  • Scientific writing
  • U.S. value assessment of pharmaceuticals

The Fellow will spend four days per week at GSK working in the GSK's U.S. Value Evidence and Outcomes Research Group near Philadelphia. One day per week will be spent at Rutgers University's Health, Outcomes, Policy, and Economics Program (HOPE), in Piscataway, NJ. 
The Fellow will be immersed in GSK projects, encouraged to participate in teaching activities at Rutgers, and provided with opportunities to engage in academic research and publishing. 
The position is for two years, contingent upon continuing need for this position, availability of funding, and a positive evaluation. This position is grant-funded.

Minimum Education and Experience:


Requires a PharmD., PhD, or other doctoral or scientific and/or clinical
training (examples of relevant fields include health services research, public
health, health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, pharmacy,
pharmacy administration, medicine).
