Post Doctoral Researcher in the lab of Dr. Miqdad Dhariwala, Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity, to pursue research on the interface of commensal microbes with the immune system in barrier tissues; designs, conducts, and evaluates research experiments involving mouse and human samples; designs and executes advanced immunology and microbiology techniques including flow cytometry, scRNA-sequencing, bioinformatics, and confocal microscopy; writes research papers for publication; presents research findings at local, national, or international scientific meetings; applies for postdoctoral fellowships; assists PI with writing and submitting grant proposals to obtain extramural funding in support of research; analyzes and interprets data; performs scientific literature searches; participates in journal clubs, laboratory meetings, and Department seminars and activities; assists with training of other lab members.

Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Academic) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in biological sciences.
Required Qualifications
MD, PhD, or MD/PhD required; ability to interact in a highly multidisciplinary environment; experience with flow cytometry, scRNA-sequencing, bioinformatics, and confocal microscopy techniques desired. Experience with animal handling and husbandry desired. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
