Job Title:
Post Doctoral Scholar


Department:
Engineering | Materials Science and Engineering

Perform research related to crevice corrosion where localized pH is measured and tracked over time, perform SEM and work with TEM experts to understand TEM results and relate back to corrosion results to understand corrosion behavior as a function of microstructure. Present results to sponsors and at conferences. Produce sponsor required technical reports and peer reviewed publications. Mentor and train undergraduate students and assist graduate students when needed. Assist in lab management duties.


Required Education:
PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or a Related Field
Desired Education:
PhD in Materials Science and Engineering
Required Experience:
At least 3 months of experience conducting Corrosion related research, conducting SEM, metallography, writing and leading a published peer reviewed publication, present results at conferences.
Desired Experience:
1 year of experience conducting environmental cracking related research, mentoring and/or training of undergraduate students, interacting with research sponsors, optical profilometry, raman, XPS.
