The lab of Dr. Seth Weinberg, Biomedical Engineering, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher with experience in fields such as biomedical engineering, biophysics, and computational modeling. The position will offer competitive salary and benefits.


The Weinberg research group is a multidisciplinary research team that develops computational models related to physiology and disease. This work involves collaborations with experimental electrophysiologists and microscopist. Team members also have unique access to cross-disciplinary facilities and collaborations at our top-ranked schools of Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine.


The individual will be responsible for leading projects related to data assimilation approaches in cardiac electrophysiology modeling. Skills preferred, but not required, include experience with computer programming, computational modeling, statistics, data analysis, and biophysical modeling. Applicants must be able to manage projects with minimum direction; this includes running simulations, collecting and processing data, summarizing data, writing abstracts and manuscripts, and performing critical review of relevant and current literature.

Required Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in engineering or sciences - related disciplines such as biomedical engineering, biophysics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent. 2-4 years’ experience lab experience


Desired Qualifications:
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail are a must. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are preferred. Diverse candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
