Job Summary
Assumes responsibility for providing confidential assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic services, including individual and group counseling, psychotherapy and crisis intervention services, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Develops individual client therapy plans. Participates in the supervision of interns and practicum students, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Designs and conducts developmental and outreach activities that will facilitate student growth. Selects a training focus of working with international students, supervising doctoral practicum students, or working with first generation students. Abides by supervision agreement with clinical supervisor. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Expected completion of doctorate in clinical psychology or counseling psychology by start date.
  • Experience providing individual counseling services to adult and/or young adult population.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral internship from an APA accredited internship site.
  • Experience working with a college student population and working in a university counseling center.
  • Experience with short-term therapy and interest in working with diverse clients.
  • Experience in outreach or prevention work and in crisis response or urgent appointments.
  • Experience or interest in a designated focus area e.g., working with international students, supervising practicum students, working with first generation students.
