The candidate will work with Dr. Jing Liu ([email protected] ) and will be affiliated with the Department of Physics and Astronomy. The laboratory focuses on the application of physical science in fundamental cell biology, which have a direct therapeutic impact on various diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease.
The candidate will work on the NIH funded project (2022 – 2026) to study the transcription and translation of single molecule RNA molecules in a single cell. The candidate is expected to utilize the cutting-edge multiplexed RNA imaging technique, such as SeqFISH and MERFISH, to understand the function and mechanism of beta-cells in type 1 diabetes.
