The Leadership and Organizational Behavior Area of the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate to begin in Fall 2024.
The Post-Doctoral Research Associate will work closely with faculty primarily on research projects focused on the psychology of technology, implications of artificial intelligence (AI) in organizations and society, new ways of working, and/or the overlap of creativity and ethics. Successful candidates will have significant experience in theory development, experimental and survey research, and/or mixed methods research, and are expected to advance a number of research projects from conceptualization through publication. A portion of time will be devoted to collaborating with faculty with an understanding that effort will also be directed at independent research.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A PhD from a social science discipline (e.g., communications, psychology, sociology, organizational behavior) with experience running in-person and online experiments is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage and track multiple research projects and collaborate with colleagues. Strong written communication skills are needed. Knowledge of online research platforms—i.e., Qualtrics, Amazon Mechanical Turk,  and Prolific Academic—as well as statistical software programs such as SPSS, R, or others is strongly desired.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
