Description of Work | A postdoctoral research associate position with competitive salary and benefits is available at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for highly motivated candidates who are interested in fungal biology. The project “Using filamentous fungi to make self-healing concrete” is interdisciplinary and co-advised by faculty members at the Civil Engineering Department (PI: Congrui Grace Jin) and the Plant Pathology Department. The project is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense. The postdoctoral research associate is expected to independently design and conduct high-quality research experiments for the assigned project under the supervisor’s guidance; analyze data and draft manuscripts for publication; take roles in the lab maintenance with other group members; and assist the supervisor to mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
