POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

I am  seeking applicants with a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials engineering, chemistry, or physics with molecular dynamics simulations of polymers background, preferably using atomistic models. A knowledge of reactive molecular dynamics is desirable but not required.

Experience with modern parallel simulation software (LAMMPS), polymer characterization and polymer processing are particularly desirable. Understanding fundamental concepts in reactive molecular dynamics simulations would also be beneficial. The candidate should have excellent communication skills (written and oral), a strong record of publications and conference presentations, and either experience or the will to work with experimentalists.

The position is available beginning February 1, 2024, for a one-year term with the possibility of renewal for an additional year based on performance.
