NIDDK/NIH Post-Doctoral Fellowship position

Neural Circuits and Molecular Mechanisms in Glucose Homeostasis

Post-doctoral fellowships are available starting immediately in the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institutes of Health (NIH). Research will focus on (1) defining cellular and molecular mechanisms and (2) identifying neural circuits involved in glucose homeostasis. Projects will use mouse models and primary cell culture systems. Techniques like gene editing, single cell sequencing, viral tracing, confocal microscopy, chemogenetics, optogenetics, electrophysiology and behavioral studies will be employed. Candidates need to demonstrate prior experience using mouse models. Applicants should have received their Ph.D. within the past three years.
