Through the Office of Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Services (OAERS), we offer valuable research and evaluation support while also supporting a comprehensive internship matching program for our graduate students seeking practical experience in assessment, program evaluation, or research methodology. |
Position Summary | The position provides research and evaluation technical support for the STEM Program Evaluation Lab (SPEL) in the Office of Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Services (OAERS). The successful candidate will lead, or co-lead multiple evaluation and research projects focused on broadening participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), including: designing and developing evaluation plans, leading data collection, conducting analysis, reporting findings in memos, presentations, and full reports, attending site visits, and participating in weekly meetings with clients. The candidate will have opportunities to contribute to and lead publication and presentation efforts associated with the projects as well. The candidate will have grant-funded support to travel to at least one conference each year, such as the American Evaluation Association (AEA), Center for Culturally Responsive Evaluation and Assessment (CREA), or American Educational Research Association (AERA), with the expectation that they present a poster, panel, roundtable or paper at the conference. This is a 100% grant-funded position for two years. The chosen candidate will work closely with faculty members in the Department of Information, Library, and Research Sciences (ILRS) who prioritize culturally responsive and collaborative evaluation. |
