    Additional Job Posting Information: 

    The Nuclear Theory Group at the University of Houston has a postdoctoral position available, starting in the summer or fall of 2024. Our interests include non‐perturbative QCD, lattice QCD, QCD at finite temperature/density, physics of high energy heavy ion collisions, physics of the Quark‐Gluon Plasma, physics of neutron stars and mergers, equation of state for hot and dense strongly interacting matter. The position is initially for two years, and can be renewed for a third year. The group works in close contact with the experimental STAR and ALICE heavy ion group at the University of Houston.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with other scientists affiliated with the MUSES and NP3M collaborations.

     

    Qualifications

     

    Doctoral and No experience

    Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. No experience is required.

    Ph.D. in Physics preferred
