  • Additional Job Posting Information: 

    We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Researcher for a position in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston to conduct research in the area of Applied Mathematics with focus on the representation and numerical approximation of multivariate functions, including functions defined on Riemannian manifolds. 

    The Post-Doc will validate the methods developed from this research on neuroscience imaging data and will have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include, conducting theoretical and numerical research, publishing scientific papers and helping supervise students. 

    The initial appointment is for a period of 12 months. The appointment is renewable pending the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and progress review. The Post-Doc Scholar will work under the supervision of Dr. Demetrio Labate and Dr. Yabo Niu.

    Qualifications

     

    Doctoral and No experience

    Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. No experience is required. 

    Additional Job Posting Information:
