Summary of Job Duties:
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will establish, maintain and oversee specific experiments for new research projects focused on human metabolism. The objectives include determination of the role that manipulation of dietary protein (matrix, pattern, composition, amount, etc.) plays in maintaining protein metabolism during periods of catabolic stress. This position will contribute to and facilitate randomized controlled trials, including the processing of human muscle biopsies and blood samples. The Post Doctoral Fellow will also maintain records of all data collected and assist in compilation, tabulation, analysis, and narrative reporting of results, train new lab personnel and teach new science techniques.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D.) in biomedical sciences or related field required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working directly with human research participants.
Metabolism, Mass Spectrometry.

Responsibilities:
Works in cooperation with the supervisor to maintain records of all tests and data collected, assists with research design, as well as compilation and analysis of data.
Writes initial draft of manuscripts and/or poster presentations reporting research results.
Meets and discusses research findings with other laboratory personnel.

Performs other duties as assigned.
