Summary of Job Duties:
• Develop new machine-learning models to incorporate multi-omics data;
• Conduct simulations studies to optimize genomic prediction and GWAS models;
• Publication of scholarly works;
• Occasional grant writing;
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications :
• Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Quantitative Genetics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in R, Python, or other programming languages.
• Experience with machine learning
• Successful applicants should be highly motivated and creative.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to publish original research in peer-reviewed journals.
• Previous experience using genomic data for mapping and/or prediction.
