Responsibilities
The Plafker Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to investigate the immunological mechanisms underlying the efficacy of a ketogenic diet to preserve vision and motor functions in mouse models of autoimmunity. Studies will utilize genetically-engineered mouse models and multiple research techniques including microbiome analyses, metabolic analyses, immunological profiling of serum, tissues of the CNS, digestive tract, and secondary lymphatic organs. Duties will include conducting experiments, analyzing data, training lab personnel, writing manuscripts, preparing publication quality figures, and presenting data at meetings.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in a biological science, preferably immunology or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent. Experience in neurodegeneration and autoimmunity research is required.
