Job Overview
Within the Global Health program, the Urban Health Collaborative, and Department of Community Health, Drexel University: an exciting postdoctoral opportunity in a new team focused on advancing research, training and public policy on global health challenges in the sub-Saharan Africa region. The team's research focuses on demographic dynamics, SRHR, urbanization (especially the growth of slums), and broader context of institutional development in the sub-Saharan Africa region.  
The Position's Requirements are as Follows:
Recent PhD in a quantitative social or health sciences ? demography, epidemiology, biostatistics, sociology, among others
Strong promise for academic excellence ? published articles in recognized peer-review journals (or submissions for recent graduates)
Research interest in population dynamics, urban health, or SRHR
Strong experience with use of quantitative and qualitative methods ? experience with longitudinal data analysis is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to travel internationally
Team work
Essential Functions
The Essential Functions are as Follows:
Generate independent scholarly publications
Participate in joint publications
Support and manage existing projects
Preparation and submission of grant applications for independent funding related to the above research areas
Contribute to development of new projects.
