The Materials Science and Engineering Department at Rutgers invites applications from highly skilled and motivated researchers for a postdoctoral research position working on photovoltaic devices and applications. The successful candidate will also interface extensively with researchers participating in Agrivoltaics research at Rutgers research farms. The ability to gather data, produce simulations with Python modeling, and draw meaningful conclusions is critical for success. The successful candidate will also interface with a range of other research and innovation efforts on campus. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Ph.D. degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or closely related disciplines.
  • Experience in modeling photovoltaic performance using Python programming.

  • Experience with Agrivoltaics
  • Python programming
  • Occasional physical travel to Rutgers research farm locations for data collection.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
