The Mathematics Reasoning and Learning Lab (MRLab) in the Department of Psychology, Rutgers University-Newark, seeks a Post-Doctoral Associate to begin March 1, 2021. The position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent in Cognitive Psychology, Neuroscience, Math Education, or equivalent in related field. No prior post-doctoral research experience is required but evidence of a strong publishing record in the above fields is expected. Familiarity with mathematical cognition or cognitive developmental neuroscience is strongly desired, as is experience with designing, conducting, and analyzing experimental studies. Responsibilities will include design of experiments and study materials, supervision of participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, interpretation of findings, and creation of presentations and papers to submit to conferences and journals. The candidate will also have the opportunity to obtain independent federal or private funding if so desired. The position is for six months, renewable contingent upon continuing need for the position, availability of funding, and a positive formal evaluation.
