Post-Doct Research Associate, Soil Physics Lab - 17000001II 


 The Soil Physics Lab at the University of Tennessee has an immediate opening for a scientist with expertise in soil physics and hydrology at the postdoctoral level. The position is for one year with possibility for renewal depending upon funding. The primary objective is to evaluate long-term impact of various tillage, crop rotations, and nutrient management on soil quality and crop yield. 



Qualifications: The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Soil Science, Hydrology, or a related field with a specialization in soil physics and soil quality. Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years from an accredited college or university. Candidates who are in process of obtaining the degree will also be considered but degree must be conferred by December 2017 with official transcript provided as verification.
Skills: The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong knowledge in soil physics;
• Experience with various soil physical lab and field measurements;
• Strong knowledge in statistics;
• Experience with crop management;
• Demonstrated record of high-quality publications;
• Experience working in a collaborative research environment
