This post doctoral scholar position will primarily be engaged in research into mast cell biology and signaling pathways involved in mast cell-mediated diseases including mastocytosis and allergic diseases. In addition, the post doc will carry out research into lung structural cell and immune cell interactions and signaling pathways involved in airway physiology.


Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., M.D., D.V.M., Sc.D.) in appropriate field.
  • Extensive experience in cell biology, tissue/cell culture and aseptic technique are essential.
  • Experience with isolation and culture of cells from tissues is essential.
  • Experience in RT-PCR, cell transfection, cloning techniques, molecular biology and Western blots are preferred.
  • Experience with mouse models preferred.
