Position Information
Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of five health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students and 145 graduate students. The School has built a reputation for its continued pursuit of excellence, rigorous education and training programs, cutting-edge multidisciplinary research, progressive pharmacy practices, efficient business operations, and its outstanding faculty, staff, and students. Position Summary | Postdoctoral Research Associate position in translational drug development and pharmacology in the UNC Advanced Translational Pharmacology and Analytical Chemistry (ATPAC) Lab. Translational drug development and pharmacology studies of drugs. Studies will in include analytical, bioanalytical, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, biomarker, efficacy, toxicity studies as part of preclinical and clinical trials. Drug types include small molecule drugs and especially complex drugs (nanoparticle, conjugates, implants, and biologics) with a focus on anticancer agents. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | PharmD or PhD. An advanced degree must be conferred by the time of the appointment. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently as well as a member of an inter-disciplinary team. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Prior experience in analytical and/or pharmacology studies is preferred. |
