Position Summary
This position is in the laboratory of Dr. Chengwen Li in the Gene Therapy Department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Our general research interest is to reveal the gene therapy with adeno-associated virus vectors for eye diseases, especially corneal diseases using animal and other research models.
We will focus of the translational potential and clinical impact of research. The current project focuses on investigating the transduction efficiency of AAV vectors in cornea and improving AAV vector production.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD or MD in Biotechnology or similar science related field.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Candidate must have a PhD or MD in Biotechnology or any fields of Biology. First Author peer-reviewed publications as well as strong communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Strong technical skills in molecular biology, immunology and 2 years animal handling experience preferred.
