Position Summary | The laboratory of Dr. Anthony Zannas at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a talented postdoctoral fellow interested in studying the epigenetic mechanisms linking psychosocial stress with inflammatory signaling and coronary heart disease. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative and well-funded interdisciplinary environment that brings together large-scale epigenomic analyses in human cohorts (data from >30,000 participants) with mechanistic experiments in immune cell models of atherosclerosis. The position offers flexibility to employ a combination of computational and/or bench lab approaches, according to the fellow’s research background and interests. Our laboratory is passionate about creating and maintaining an interdisciplinary, pleasant environment that promotes creative team work, offers strong mentorship, and fosters scientific growth.
