Position Summary
An exciting opportunity is available at UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center to study the mechanisms of host immune system contribution to the development of pancreatic cancer. We will be working to uncover the mechanisms of B cell function in anti-tumor response. Long-term research objectives of the lab include developing methods of immune reprogramming in cancer to elicit an effective anti-tumor response.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD in cell/molecular biology, immunology or a related field.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
We are looking for a PhD level candidate with background in cancer immunology. Previous experience with mouse modeling, small animal surgery, primary cell culture, and flow cytometry is required. The candidate should be highly motivated, enthusiastic about science, learn quickly, think creatively and independently and work efficiently. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience with techniques of B cell biology, cancer biology, immunology, mouse modeling and cell biology is preferred.
