Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time postdoctoral research associate as part of the Communicating for Health Impact (CHI) lab, in support of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
The lab is led by Dr. Seth M. Noar and has ongoing health communication projects with multiple funders that include the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Our research projects focus on understanding effective communication practices for behavior change and involve developing and testing tobacco prevention messages targeted to youth.
The postdoc will work on studies related to message development and testing; developing and implementing surveys and experiments; assisting with design and implementation of a randomized clinical trial; analyzing data; and other research related activities. The postdoc will lead presentations and manuscripts for peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
Postdocs may have opportunities to collect their own data, funds for travel to conferences to present their research, and ongoing mentoring.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in a behavioral science, communication, or a related field .
