Position Summary | We seek a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in hydrology-focused remote sensing to work on a NASA-funded project focused on developing and analyzing a new snow dataset. This postdoc will work on evaluating and using a new MODIS-based snowpack dataset for all of North America. The position is for eighteen months, with any extension depending on receipt of additional funding. It will involve evaluating and using large-scale remote sensing and in situ datasets, writing scientific papers, and presenting research at national and international meetings. If the successful applicant is interested, the position may also involve experience in co-mentorship of undergraduate and/or graduate students. The position will be housed in the UNC Global Hydrology Lab, which encourages a collaborative and supportive research environment.
