Position Summary
The Markmann Lab at UNC-Chapel Hill is seeking a postdoc, who will enthusiastically work on protein structural and flaviviral cloning studies in order to understand cross-neutralizing serum antibody responses to flaviviral infections, such as dengue and Zika viruses. We are a BSL2 lab, using x-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, human memory B cell cloning, viral neutralization assays and other epitope mapping studies in order to understand this, with the ultimate goal of informing cross-protective vaccine design.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD in Biology or closely related field is required.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience with protein expression, cloning and/or structural studies.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Successful candidates should have at least one first author paper published in a peer-reviewed journal.
