Job Summary

Seeking a postdoctoral researcher in environmental epidemiology to work with Dr. Ellen Wells’s lab on study dedicated to understand the role of environmental contaminants (metals, air pollution, VOCs, PFAS) on neurological health and epigenetics. The study will recruit both adults and children. This is an R01-funded community-engaged project focused on environmental injustice within northwestern Indiana. The postdoctoral researcher would be expected to assist with all aspects of the study, including recruitment, data collection, management, analysis, and reporting, as needed. The researchers will also assist with coordination among study partners, including multidisciplinary academic collaborators, community members and other stakeholders. This is a two-year full-time position; salary will be commensurate with NIH standards; extensions possible pending funding availability. The position is located within the School of Health Sciences at Purdue University. Education

Required Qualifications: PhD in environmental health sciences, epidemiology, or related field.


Experience

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with environmental epidemiology research, community-engaged research, analytic methods for mixtures, fluency in Spanish.
