Job Summary

One postdoctoral research associate position in Human Development and Family Science at Purdue University and the Center for Early Learning

Dr. David Purpura is hiring one postdoctoral research associate to work on a grant funded by the Heising-Simons Foundation. This project is focused on developing and evaluating e-books to support dual language learners’ early mathematics skills. The project is currently in the third (of five) years. This project and position are housed in the Center for Early Learning in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at Purdue University.

This is an on-campus position with a start date of ideally August 1, 2024, but the start date can be flexible and moved earlier. Salary will be $70,000 per year.

    Required Qualifications

    • PhD in HDFS, Education, Psychology, or related field by the start of the employment
    • Research interests in early childhood education, learning, and/or development
    • Strong research and analytic skills

    Additional Desired Qualifications

    • Bilingual Spanish-English speaking and writing
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a research team

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities may include scientific contributions to the ongoing intervention study, manuscript preparation, conference presentations, project coordination, development and implementation of dissemination products families, schools, and other community members, as well as other project responsibilities as needed.
