Job Summary

The Fusion Studio for Entertainment and Engineering is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to explore and pursue strategic opportunities for the center. The Fusion Studio for Entertainment and Engineering is a center promoting best practices, trends, and developments at the intersection of entertainment and engineering. The position will identify and develop proposals for grant opportunities, engage in outreach to potential industry and academic partners, and provide support for key outreach initiatives, including the annual Symposium on Education in Entertainment and Engineering. Responsibilities will include completing relevant literature reviews; collecting and presenting grant and funding opportunities appropriate to the center’s goals to the co-directors; preparing grant proposals; identifying industry connections and developing engagement plans. The postdoctoral associate will also assist with preparing papers for publication in academic journals. The position is funded through June 2024 with the possibility of extension based on funding and program needs.

Education

Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in engineering education, education, social sciences, or a related field and will have a background in interdisciplinary work.  Experience with publishing and presenting research is required.


Experience

Must be a self-starter with the ability to synthesize across disciplines and strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and technology skills (e.g., Excel) 

Experience with developing funding proposals is preferred.
