Job Summary:
The objective of this position is to serve as a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Miriam Braunstein's lab. Her laboratory investigates basic biology and mechanisms of pathogenesis of mycobacteria. This Postdoctoral Research position will be to study the cell wall biogenesis of mycobacteria and to explore the potential of treating mycobacteria with bacteriophages. The project will utilize genetic, biochemical, and microbiology techniques.  
Minimum Qualifications:
4 years research/wet lab experienceMicrobiology experience: culturing bacteria, sterile technique, phenotype assaysMolecular biology experience: nucleic acid synthesis/purification, PCR/qPCR, gene cloning, in vitro assaysBiochemistry: gene expression, immunoblottingExperience in training others in basic lab skillsPhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or equivalent field.
