Job Summary
Postdoc with a primary duty consisting of lead writer and copy editor. The position will play a crucial role in the development of written materials produced by the Institute, including project and client work as well as white papers, research papers, and other communications aimed at advancing our mission. They will work closely with the Marketing, Communications and Storytelling teams and collaboratively with multiple departments, project teams, and others associated with the Institute to create and refine written content. They should bring a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and close attention to detail to ensure our messaging is accurate, engaging, and impactful.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with all departments and project teams to research, outline, write, and edit written materials for project deliverables, client presentations, and marketing.
- Coordinate with staff to develop research papers, white papers, thought leadership pieces, etc.
- Contribute to content ideation and conduct applicable research to inform writing projects.
- Facilitate collaboration between Marketing/Communications and other departments to integrate written materials into the content/publishing schedule.
- Copy editing written materials from across the Institute.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferences
- Strong organizational skills.
- Background or familiarity with social impact and impact investing.
- Experience working with a large and diverse team.
- Experience collaborating across a university campus.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Postdoc – Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
- Doctorate degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or other relevant field.
- 2 + or more years experience in technical, business,and/or creative writing and copy-editing.
- Strong ability to communicate complex ideas or information in accessible and compelling ways.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Experience with Google Suite – Experience with academic writing, including research papers and white papers.
