Job Description

What We Are Looking For
The Post Baccalaureate Research Assistant assists on a project funded by the National Science Foundation on the interplay of sleep and learning using polysomnography, actigraphy, and fMRI neuroimaging. The Post Baccalaureate Research Assistant will join Dr. Scullin’s Sleep Neuroscience and Cognition (SNAC) Laboratory http://sites.baylor.edu/scullin  and will be part of an energetic group of researchers who take a team science approach. Willingness to monitor sleep studies overnight is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree and an active Christian faith is required. Applications must have a valid US Driver’s License and be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 
Required Skills and Abilities include:
Candidates must possess interpersonal skills, display sound judgment, and be dependable in meeting deadlines and fulfilling responsibilities.

Preferred Skills and Abilities include:

  • Ability to talk about research with general community members.
  • Experience working in a research laboratory.

  • Data collection 
  • Data entry 
  • Data analysis and dissemination 
  • Manage the lab environment 
  • Monitor overnight studies 
  • Science outreach activities at the museum
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission. 
  • Ability to comply with university policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
