Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The Post-Approval Monitoring (PAM)Specialist is a member of the Conflicts of Interest (COI) team, reporting directly to the COI Administrator (Dr. Beth Brittan-Powell). The COI team oversees the examination of faculty disclosures and manages the preparation, review, processing, and documentation of COI cases. Additionally, the team provides support to the COI Committee and actively participates in the implementation of education and compliance initiatives. The Post-Approval Monitoring Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that established COI Management Plans (MPs) are effectively implemented and adhered to after receiving approval. In addition, the Post-Approval Monitoring Specialist will act as the COI Representative overseeing Post-Approval Monitoring for all risk-level COI MPs. This is a new position being created in the COI Office and as such there is tremendous potential for growth and autonomy. The incumbent candidate is expected to work collaboratively with team members, departmental administrators, and researchers across the university to evaluate opportunities to develop a robust PAM program.
