Position Overview
Engineering & Project Management Programs in the School of Professional Studies at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus invite qualified scholars and professionals with experience in project management to submit applications that will be reviewed by the faculty and placed in a pool for consideration for part time lecturer positions. A lecturer teaches a graduate level course and must possess an advanced terminal degree. Lecturers report to the director of the Engineering and Project Management Programs.

The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Any employment with the University of Kansas is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check. Appointments are one semester, renewable and subject to review, funding and adequate student enrollment.
Job Description
40% - Plans, prepares and presents lectures for one graduate course in project management based on an approved course syllabus. Depending on the program, course and semester, instruction may in-person one evening per week or online. Courses are either eight or sixteen weeks in length.
40% - Develops assignment, projects and exams. Supervises projects, evaluates student work and provides feedback to students. Maintains office hours as necessary to meet students’ needs. In-person courses are livestreamed and recorded to support remote students.
20% - Maintains technologies, including a learning management system and a classroom lecture recording system.
