Position Overview

The School of Law invites qualified scholars and professionals to submit online applications to the lecturer pool to be considered for part-time, temporary instructional coaching positions for the Law School’s moot court, mock trial, and transactional law programs. Positions vary and are dependent upon the competitions in which the school is participating and the need for instructional coaches for the competitions. These are non-tenure-track members of the faculty whose primary role is instructional.

The successful applicant must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Any employment with the University is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.


Job Description

100%    Instructional - Provide competition instruction and coaching throughout the duration of the competition. Develop materials and resources to aid with competition preparation and provide feedback to students during practice sessions. 

Note - positions hired at .50 FTE or higher regular appointments may be required to perform a small percentage of service as arranged with the Dean.


Required Qualifications

1.    J.D. from an ABA accredited law school or its foreign equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications

1.    Prior participation in moot court, mock trial, transactional law or other law school competitions.

Commensurate with experience, subject matter being taught, number of courses taught, credit hours assigned to the course(s) and FTE allocation. Minimum starting salary is $1,750
