Purdue University Northwest invites applications to fill one non-tenure-track teaching position at the rank of Lecturer in the Department of Computer Information Technology in the College of Technology. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in the areas of computer programming, web technologies, database, networking, and cyber security. Opportunities for interacting with regional businesses are excellent and encouraged. The initial contract term is one year, to begin August 16, 2021. Contract renewal is subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding for the position.

The Department of Computer Information Technology and Graphics (CITG) offers two nationally-accredited Baccalaureate degree programs: B.S. in Computer Information Technology (ABET), and B.S. in Computer Graphics Technology (ATMAE). The Department provides an excellent teaching and learning environment equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software. The Department has 11 faculty members, with enrollment of more than 200 undergraduate students in Computer Information Technology. The B.S. in Computer Information Technology is hosted in a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education, designated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency, with a special focus on Network Security Administration.
