Job Summary:


The Office of the Dean, Clemmer College, is accepting applications for a Placement Coordinator. The Placement Coordinator will work with the Director of Field Experiences and Residency, the Associate Dean of Educator Preparation, and candidates on notification of changes, additions, and clarifications to comply as students work toward licensure. The Coordinator maintains knowledge of Educator Preparation Policy, regulation, and procedures set forth by the State of Tennessee – Department of Education, Educational Testing Services, and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation/FBI
Workload includes assisting the Clemmer College Program Coordinators with student placements during the Residency I and Residency II semesters; includes advising students, reviewing programs of study, sharing Residency policies and information regarding graduation requirements, substitution forms, grade issues, and Praxis II information/requirements. Additionally, this role oversees Residency applications and placement requests from faculty on a timely basis (approximately 600 placements on average per semester); requests may include internships, practicums, field experience, Residency I, and Residency II (student teaching).
